This home exudes liveable luxury with intentionally designed spaces for everyone to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the beautiful elements and functional decor.

Jaws will drop upon arrival as you step foot into this stunning home in Culpepper, VA. This busy family has a lot of foot traffic and family and needed spaces with functional decor that could stand up to just about anything while looking amazing.

In this project, we installed 7″ luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the first floor. Understanding the needs of our busy clients, who have a bustling household with high foot traffic and several pets, we sought a flooring solution that could withstand it all. The warm brown tones with a hint of gray beautifully complement the upcoming color trends while maintaining a timeless appeal.

Board and batten walls and a two-tier black chandelier offer a clean, simple look adding visual interest and elegance.

A Dining Room Where Everything Tastes Better

In the dining room, we’ve ensured attention to detail and functional decor with bleach-cleanable black velvet armchair and black and white textured side chair fabric which can stand up to the inevitable spills and “oopsies” of family gatherings.

The top half of the room is pure black, contrasted by a crisp white on the bottom half which ties in the entryway and gives a bold and classic look to update this traditional home. The artwork sits on top of custom-made picture frame molding that gives dimension to the artwork, claiming the spotlight as the focal point of the room.

The classic silk draperies and two-tier chandelier with coordinating sconces bring the room together with glamour and sophistication.

The dining room is the essence of couture with its clean lines and eye-captivating details.

A Dream Office

This home office is every successful woman’s dream come true! With light lavender grey walls to bold, watercolor-inspired large scaled blooms printed on grasscloth, it’s filled with inspiration. Lavender floral sheers add softness and texture.

We’ve considered all the details with drapery hardware that matches the light-finished wood desk and shiny chrome drapery rings that tie into the desk’s hardware.

The desk is beautiful and functional with a writing surface, slide-out shelf, and organizational storage spaces. Behind the desk is a comfortable and beautiful amethyst upholstered chair. We softly lit the workspace with a feminine, daisy-shaped chandelier that hangs above the desk with a polished nickel and stainless steel finish. The shelves behind the desk hold sentimental items to help keep this office looking tidy while making it personalized.

And of course, let’s not forget the subtle cheetah print on the lounge chair and ottoman providing a place to read and creatively work with a cup of coffee, or curl up with a book and a glass of wine.

Mirrored doors reflect back the impressive entryway and dining room. They also offer privacy for the office so no matter how many tasks pile up, it can be out of sight when the doors are closed.

A Kitchen and Breakfast Nook that Feels Brand New

In the kitchen and breakfast nook, we brought in interest with a black base, gold accents, and a glass top which helps seamlessly make the transition from the dining room into this newly refreshed kitchen.

Chairs are upholstered with neutral, high-performance faux leather that’s easy to maintain but remains casually elegant. The modern pendant light offers a soft, appealing glow to the space. The fixture has a sleek double chandelier shade design with brushed nickel to coordinate with the stainless steel kitchen appliances. Roman shades for the window and door tie the space together with function and luxury.

The layout and countertops in this kitchen stayed as is but we gave them a major refresh by bringing in glossy ceramic subway tile above the cooktop and adding new appliances. The cabinets were painted in a premium Italian paint and we added black hardware and a black industrial-style faucet to complete the look and make it feel like a brand-new kitchen!

Comfortable and Fun Family Room

A space that could accommodate this client’s large and extended family for relaxation, playing games, and watching movies was a must!

We included functional decor and a better layout in this space to include a built-in for their TV and storage which also displays their family photos, decor, and treasures from their travels. Additional storage is across the bottom for board games to keep the room tidy, but ready to host the fun at any moment!

Family members can sink into a soft, buttery leather sofa while chatting with family and loved ones in one of the two swivel gliders with performance fabric. A large coffee table provides the surface for playing games and offers plenty of room for everyone to gather and enjoy laughter beside a cozy fire.

Soft touches like navy pillows bring in a pop of color while the dyed wool rug with its micro tufted design adds depth and texture.

This room is designed for livable luxury, comfort, and fun!

Show-Stopping Powder Room

We took this dated powder room from builder-grade to fabulous by adding a bold black and white wallcovering, reminiscent of a childhood kaleidoscope. We love how it carries the look of black-and-white elegance with layers of couture and visual interest. The custom vanity has a rich black Noir finish with brass hardware and an elegant quartz top. A beautiful luxe gold faucet with jeweled black crystal handles ensures that even handwashing is an experience of luxury.

The brass mirror reflects the beauty of the room and all who enter. Even the toilet tank lever got an upgrade with a luxe gold lever to coordinate with the faucet and towel ring. The crisp white Roman shade with the geometric black and white trim serves both function and beauty in this space.

A Teenage-Friendly Bathroom

As you can imagine, a bathroom designed for teens and guests needs to be functional, stand up to traffic, and look incredible at the same time. This bath does not disappoint.

We replaced the existing tub and replaced it with this wave-tiled shower that brings you into the surf and mesmerizes you with shades of blue. The herringbone patterned shower floor compliments the coloring.

The wave is the feature of the bathroom, with neutral subway tiles used for the adjoining walls.

A functional decor feature we love is a half wall with glass to hide shower niches for small items, soaps, and shampoos, and a spot to put your foot when shaving.
The new custom vanity is a light wood to contrast the flooring and carry out the coastal vibe. The vanity mirrors are adjustable for the varying heights of teens and guests. The countertop mirrors the powder room vanity on the first floor. We used an antique bronze finish throughout the space.
