Timeless and Tasteful Transitional Interior

Transitional Interior Home in Aldie, Virginia

We remodeled the library, dining room, and sun room for these return clients and brought the entire interior together with the timeless, tasteful transitional interior design they love so much throughout their home.

This Aldie, VA transitional interior design exudes warmth and incorporates thoughtful touches and clean lines.

Sophisticated Comfort

A chevron-striped wallcovering serves as a natural and organic backdrop to the cozy, yet elegant dining room. It evokes an alluring warmth reminiscent of weathered wood.

Hanging from the ceiling are two exquisite chandeliers crafted of steel with dark, weathered zinc and draped in crystal beading. They provide an elegant touch with just the right amount of drama.

The walls are painted the perfect taupe and complemented by a moody charcoal gray ceiling.

The chrome buffet lamps balance out the sideboard with symmetry and the sunburst mirror in a bubbly champagne finish adds shine and interest. Mixing metals keeps this room timeless.

We brought in soft texture with a glamorous, eye-catching area rug with a leopard print design. It helps anchor the space with patterned panache while the classic black, ivory, and silver offer a ground feel to the room.

No detail has been spared in this transitional dining room. The rectangle design from the table base is replicated on the door fronts of the sideboard, and even the metal rings coordinate with the chandeliers and bring in an additional metal finish.

Timeless Luxury

The transitional interior in the library marries an Old World feel with modern sophistication. The wallcovering from the dining room, as well as the taupe paint color have been brought in to seamlessly unite the two rooms and set the tone for an intimate, relaxing library designed for conversation and contemplation.

Two stylish and comfortable chairs sit across from each other with a distinguished striking round profile and deep blue velvet upholstery. A broad seat cushion, high back, and supportive lumbar pillow invite hours of reading and relaxing.

The beautiful gray fabric table doubles as an ottoman for extra seating as well as a coffee table. We love the recessed birch platform base, warm stain, and semi gloss lacquer finish to give it a polished and refined look.

The area rug melds contemporary appeal with timeless Old Word beauty, encompassing the transitional interior design style. It features a luxurious, abstract pattern and a neutral palette for a vintage look.

One of our favorite pieces of this library are the custom built-ins done in pure black, finished with acrylic and polished chrome hardware to weave in the family room look. We provided plenty of bookshelf space for this family who can be found reading any chance they get!

We also brought in pieces of their personal story with meaning-filled artwork. A portrait of their daughter’s horse, Aqua, who passed away during their home renovation hangs in the middle of the bookshelves and pays tribute to the loving animal who was part of the family and greatly missed.

Sunshine Inspired

Step into this soft, spa-like sunroom and prepare to melt into relaxation. The sofa has a light blue chenille fabric with two cream boucle pillows and two with an organic vine design, bringing the outdoors in.

The two matching spherical chandeliers have a brushed metal finish that complements the hardware on the freestanding bar cabinet. Three small spot tables inspire whimsy with a spiraling design that adds fun and glamor to the space. A sustainably-crafted harvested wood coffee table with a smooth, white marble top serves as a substantial statement piece, without weighing down the sunroom.

This sunkissed transitional interior design inspires comfort and relaxation with no details spared. The chairs and seating are made for maximum comfort, and designed for conversation and gathering. They bring in a dramatic flair while blending with the other transitional interior design in the sunroom and throughout the home.

A soft, cream-colored room sized rug provides luxurious cushioning for the feet and an elegant look.
